Community Engagement Case Studies 2024 highlights five examples of innovative practices that emerged from Art Design Chicago (ADC) grants and the work of the ADC Learning Community. These case studies are intended as a resource for the ADC cohort and the broader field, offering insights into how cultural organizations can deepen and expand relationships with their communities. We are grateful to the staff at each participating partner organization for candidly sharing their reflections and lessons learned. This work was developed in collaboration with researchers Gwendolyn Rugg and Ellen Bloss from the research organization NORC at the University of Chicago.
