Sintonicen Lumpen Radio para escuchar una conversación en español entre Carla Acevedo-Yates, curadora de entre horizontes: Art and Activism between Chicago and Puerto Rico (Arte y Activismo entre Chicago y Puerto Rico) en el Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Chicago), y Sandra Treviño, periodista de arte y miembro de la junta editorial de la revista Contratiempo, donde exploran las intersecciones culturales, las historias, dificultades y expresiones artísticas que conectan a Puerto Rico con Chicago.

La serie de conversatorios Arte Diseño Chicago de Lumpen Radio explora y celebra el rico legado artístico de Chicago y sus comunidades diversas. Esta serie examina las intersecciones entre el arte, diseño y activismo y la relación de la ciudad con el indigenismo, la migración y el desplazamiento. A través de una serie de conversaciones transmitidas en español e inglés con les artistas, curadores y organizadores culturales detrás de las exposiciones destacadas en Arte Diseño Chicago, les presentadores de Lumpen Radio resaltan la evolución y el impacto de estos proyectos. Esta iniciativa promete una exploración extensa de la identidad cultural y artística de Chicago, ampliando las narrativas del Arte Americano.

Through a series of broadcasted conversations in Spanish and English with the artists, curators, and cultural organizers behind the exhibitions featured as part of Art Design Chicago, Lumpen Radio hosts highlight the evolution and impacts of these projects. This initiative promises an extensive exploration of Chicago’s cultural and artistic identity, broadening the narratives of American art.
