Join The GREYSTONE Collective for Crafting a Home, a talk with Founder and creative placemaker Clemenstien Love (CL), presented as part of the Indelible ORIGINS | Place + People exhibition series.
The Greystone Residence consists of a collection of beautifully composed disparate interior architectural “roomscapes” linked by common themes and the single hand that created them. Any creative person learns by doing. For Clemenstien Love, the work of building this architectural experience has been the greatest creative endeavor.
Extraordinary color palettes, painted effects, material surface embellishments, textile applications, curated vintage objects and fixtures, sculptural placement of built-in architectural elements, and free-standing furniture combine to create “roomcapes” throughout the Residence.
In this talk, CL presents conceptual sketches, scaled computer drawings, color renderings, full-scale detail mock-ups, material collage palettes and photographs to share the story of how each “roomscape” unfolds.
Indelible ORIGINS | Place + People is supported by Hyde Park Art Center’s Artists Run Chicago Fund as part of Art Design Chicago.
Free and open to the public. RSVP is required, space limited.
